Page 258 Gods are lost- Gauri Mahalla 5- ਭਭਾ ਭਰਮੁ ਮਿਟਾਵਹੁ ਅਪਨਾ ॥ BHABHA: Cast out your doubt and delusion - ਇਆ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਸਗਲ ਹੈ ਸੁਪਨਾ ॥ this world is just a dream. ਭਰਮੇ ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਦੇਵੀ ਦੇਵਾ ॥ The angelic beings, goddesses and gods are deluded by doubt. ਭਰਮੇ ਸਿਧ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੇਵਾ ॥ The Siddhas and seekers, and even Brahma are deluded by doubt. ਭਰਮਿ ਭਰਮਿ ਮਾਨੁਖ ਡਹਕਾਏ ॥ Wandering around, deluded by doubt, people are ruined. ਦੁਤਰ ਮਹਾ ਬਿਖਮ ਇਹ ਮਾਏ ॥ It is so very difficult and treacherous to cross over this ocean of Maya. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭੈ ਮੋਹ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ॥ That Gurmukh who has eradicated doubt, fear and attachment, ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਹ ਪਰਮ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪੦॥ O Nanak, obtains supreme peace. ||40|| Page 559 Pride of gods- Vadhans Mahalla 3- ਬ੍ਰਹਮੈ ਬੇਦ ਬਾਣੀ ਪਰਗਾਸੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹ ਪਸਾਰਾ ॥ Through Brahma, the hymns of the Vedas were revealed, but the love of Maya spread. ਮਹਾਦੇਉ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਵਰਤੈ ਘਰਿ ਆਪਣੈ ਤਾਮਸੁ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਅਹੰਕਾਰਾ ॥੨॥ The wise one, Shiva, remains absorbed in himself, but he is engrossed in dark passions and excessive egotism. ||2|| ਕਿਸਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਅਵਤਾਰੀ ਰੂਧਾ ਕਿਤੁ ਲਗਿ ਤਰੈ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥ Vishnu is always busy reincarnating himself - who will save the world? ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਗਿਆਨਿ ਰਤੇ ਜੁਗ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਚੂਕੈ ਮੋਹ ਗੁਬਾਰਾ ॥੩॥ The Gurmukhs are imbued with spiritual wisdom in this age; they are rid of the darkness of emotional attachment. ||3|| Page 894 Gods don't know secret- Ramkali Mahalla 5- ਮਹਿਮਾ ਨ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਬੇਦ ॥ The Vedas do not know His greatness. ਬ੍ਰਹਮੇ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਭੇਦ ॥ Brahma does not know His mystery. ਅਵਤਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਅੰਤੁ ॥ Incarnated beings do not know His limit. ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬੇਅੰਤੁ ॥੧॥ The Transcendent Lord, the Supreme Lord God, is infinite. ||1|| ਅਪਨੀ ਗਤਿ ਆਪਿ ਜਾਨੈ ॥ Only He Himself knows His own state. ਸੁਣਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਅਵਰ ਵਖਾਨੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ Others speak of Him only by hearsay. ||1||Pause|| ਸੰਕਰਾ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਭੇਵ ॥ Shiva does not know His mystery. ਖੋਜਤ ਹਾਰੇ ਦੇਵ ॥ The gods gave grown weary of searching for Him. ਦੇਵੀਆ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨੈ ਮਰਮ ॥ The goddesses do not know His mystery. ਸਭ ਊਪਰਿ ਅਲਖ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ॥੨॥ Above all is the unseen, Supreme Lord God. ||2|| ਅਪਨੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਕਰਤਾ ਕੇਲ ॥ The Creator Lord plays His own plays. ਆਪਿ ਬਿਛੋਰੈ ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲ ॥ He Himself separates, and He Himself unites. ਇਕਿ ਭਰਮੇ ਇਕਿ ਭਗਤੀ ਲਾਏ ॥ Some wander around, while others are linked to His devotional worship. ਅਪਣਾ ਕੀਆ ਆਪਿ ਜਣਾਏ ॥੩॥ By His actions, He makes Himself known. ||3|| ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਸੁਣਿ ਸਾਚੀ ਸਾਖੀ ॥ Listen to the true story of the Saints. ਸੋ ਬੋਲਹਿ ਜੋ ਪੇਖਹਿ ਆਖੀ ॥ They speak only of what they see with their eyes. ਨਹੀ ਲੇਪੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਪੁੰਨਿ ਨ ਪਾਪਿ ॥ He is not involved with virtue or vice. ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ॥੪॥੨੫॥੩੬॥ Nanak's God is Himself all-in-all. ||4||25||36|| Page 1051 Gods are assigned tasks- Maroo Mahalla 3- ਜਿਨਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਬਿਸਨੁ ਮਹੇਸੁ ਉਪਾਏ ॥ He who created Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, ਸਿਰਿ ਸਿਰਿ ਧੰਧੈ ਆਪੇ ਲਾਏ ॥ links each and every being to its tasks. ਜਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲੇ ਜਿਨਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਏਕੋ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੇ ॥੨॥ He merges into Himself, whoever is pleasing to His Will. The Gurmukh knows the One Lord. ||2|| Page 1159 Gods want to be reborn as human- Bhairao Kabeer ji- ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੇ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਮਾਈ ॥ Serving the Guru, devotional worship is practiced. ਤਬ ਇਹ ਮਾਨਸ ਦੇਹੀ ਪਾਈ ॥ Then, this human body is obtained. ਇਸ ਦੇਹੀ ਕਉ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਦੇਵ ॥ Even the gods long for this human body. ਸੋ ਦੇਹੀ ਭਜੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸੇਵ ॥੧॥ So vibrate that human body, and think of serving the Lord. ||1||
